Kilmore Triathlon Club are pleased to host the Standard Distance Triathlon Ireland sanctioned "Blacksod Point Challenge", an event boasting some of the most spectacular scenery in Ireland. This year's event is to be held on Saturday 18th September and is the final event in the National Series.

The event starts with an enduring sea swim in Blacksod Bay. The bike course includes a challenging climb up Tarmon hill (the highest point on the peninsula) before a long stretch up the spine of the peninsula to Belmullet Town. The race finishes with an all terrain run across the dunes of Fal Mor. This race is a truly magical experience not to be missed.
