Prizes for Club attendance to the Blacksod Point Challenge announced ...

As the last race of the season, Kilmore Triathlon Club have decided to award additional prizes for “best club turn out” and “fastest club”, so why not get your club together and make the Blacksod Point Challenge the club race for 2009.

There are plenty of accommodation options and we can guarantee a night to be remembered after the event. So why not join us to see the season out with a bang!

Kilmore Triathlon Club are pleased to host the Standard Distance Triathlon Ireland sanctioned "Blacksod Point Challenge", an event boasting some of the most spectacular scenery in Ireland. This year's event is to be held on Saturday 19th September.

The event starts with an enduring sea swim in Blacksod Bay. The bike course includes a challenging climb up Tarmon hill (the highest point on the peninsula) before a long stretch up the spine of the peninsula to Belmullet Town. The race finishes with an all terrain run across the dunes of Fal Mor. This race is a truly magical experience not to be missed.
